Jimbro's Project Fixie

So I picked up a Ishiwata frame for $30 from a bike guy in Manoa. I'm new to the whole fixie thing but I'm having a blast with the build.

I cut all the cable guides off, the derailleur mount, and filled in the hole for the back brake. I'm not sure on the final paint scheme but i stripped the frame and painted it expresso brown and the fork is a heirloom white.

I like the combination but I think I'll be powder coating because i chipped the paint yesterday. I bought a Campy bottom bracket, Nitto Technomic stem, and a Stronglight headset through the guy that i bought the frame from.

Yesterday i came across a Mavic Open Sport wheelset with Surly Track hubs with a Fixed/Fixed setup with a 17t cog.

You should jazz up your frame with a touch of gun metal gray or orange paint. coffee brown with specks of gun metal gray/orange it'll be the baddest bike on the block. -james
